It's all about Singapore.
Those who loves cars can buy whatever car they want because the tax is much lower compared to Singapore. Provided if you earn your bucks there. That's gonna be better.
So, my day started off when I woke up at 5.30am. Actually I set my alarm at 5.30am the night before, but then when the time comes, I keep on snoozing my phone and return back to my back to my bed and continuing my dreams.
At 6am, I finally woke up and had my shower. After my shower, I pack my bags for a day trip to Singapore.
Earphones, books (SPM coming and I realise that I need to read some useful books), jacket, water, passport, bus ticket, rubber band. This ain't a solo travel. Or else, I'll not find my way around Singapore. I went with my aunts and my parents. Met my cousin,
Rachel, there at Singapore. From there, we travelled, laughed, talked, run, shopped, breathed, drink, eat... Just like any other tourists from other country visiting yours.
Okay, I have to tell this. The highway on the way to Singapore via Johor was way too boring. Trees trees trees. The whole 3 hour plus journey was all about trees.
I was so bored with it till I opened my Chemistry book and read but just a few pages, I closed the book and closed my eyes. On the 3rd hour plus, mom woke me up and asked me to look out at the window. It's Johor Bahru.
The town area I suppose.
All about buildings.
It's similar to any part of the country but the only thing is that they have English road signs which Malacca doesn't have these days. They have been converted to BM. Sad eh?
So, I reached at the edge of Johor.
The big tubes are for water supply. Malaysia supplies water to Singapore, in case you don't know. 3 huge tubes to a small, little, yet high tech country.
And this is also the waters that separates Malaysia from Singapore. The waters were so beautiful. Clean waters.
The bus that I was in was queuing in a massive, huge, lane of cars, waiting to cross over to Singapore.
I went through the Singapore Custom.
Ah, ya. If you found any suspicious person especially Mr Selamat, please call 999. He's a baddie. But don't call 999 when you entered Malaysia. Because when you see the sign 'Selamat Datang ke Malaysia', doesn't mean that he's here in Malaysia ya.
Ok, I'm lame. Casey... Choon Mei did this to me. *
laughs*
The custom was so slow. Went through it. Long queue. Didn't managed to snap any pictures because no cameras or photography was allowed.
So, my turn came. And the guy who was stamping my passport, he mentioned my name. I was so happy because not many people can mention my name that well especially my dear tuition teacher, Mr Huan.
After going through the custom, it was raining cats and dogs outside. According to my parents, Singapore rains always unlike Malacca. 2 weeks without any drop of rain. So hot. The last time my mom went to Singapore was also raining.
Anyway, my phone was always without any service as it was changing the telco services from Maxis to SingTel to M1 to SGM-M1-STM(something like that). So, my phone like always
mati because no service.
Anyway, Singapore has trees here and there to maintain the good temperature, I suppose.
It rained for quite sometime. In fact, it rained twice in when we were there. Heavy rain.
Rain rain and rain. Go pour on Malaysia, please...
So I was listening music using my phone. MP3. I sat alone at first. then switched my place as after the bus alighted for custom, the bus was quite empty.
Singapore. It's like similar to Hong Kong. You'll know it when you watch many Hong Kong dramas. The yellow cabs.
I think Singaporeans are loaded with cash in their pockets. You can see approximately 5 BMWs in the same road. And I saw one Lamborgini. Was so amazed with it till I forgot to snap some pictures. Really. A Lamborgini. Black one. Similar to that of Mr Bruce Wayne's. And many Merc.
Okay, the buses always stops at a traffic light. That time, you can see so many cars stopping. Like ants.
The road is wide there. 3 to 4 lanes.
So, I was in Bugis. Ate at Albert's Food Court that's along the Queen Street, I think. After my lunch, we went to Changi General Hospital to visit my uncle. We went by train!
The $2.50 card to scan through the machine to let you pass through to go in the train.
I claimed my $1 back at Simei. Can't go straight to Changi because for God knows why. Have to alight at Simei train station.
Went to East Plaza or something just to shop for umbrella because it's raining and we planned to walk to Changi General Hospital. 500m. Short distance
la can say.
The shopping centre was huge.
And the shopping centre was so bright because of this.
Creative architecture.
So we had umbrellas at $4.90 from Watson's.
We went to Changi General Hospital and met my uncle, my cousin (which I just met him for the first time in my life) and his gf. Spent time there for about an hour plus.
Went back to Bugis through taxi this time. The meter kept going up so eaily to about $13 something.
Was at Rochor Road.
And I realised East met West.
They have Spongebob Squarepants lantern with music and light. The hands and legs can move.
Ya, I went to a toy shop.
Mr Spongebob Squarepants was on sale at $5.90.
And also Bossini of Singapore. They have sales. The whole entire shop, I think. I bought this at only $13.
On sales. So grab one. At least I have something from Singapore. Dad paid for me. I was broke ok.
Pokai already.
After shopping at Rochor Road, we went to Bugis Junction. It's similar to that of The Curve on weekends. Only thing that it is wider and more comfortable. Not like The Curve. So crampy.
I entered through Hylam Street. Not
Hai Lam Street ok?
*laughs*
The shopping centre there was very high standard. I didn't buy anything there. Have to rethink because you have to convert it to RM alright.
A simple shawl is easily $10. Not worth it. And Mr Spongebob Squarepants purse for small kids are $5.90 each. Please convert yourself la.
It's one glamour shopping haven.
They sell a huge packet of Pocky strawberry flava. I wanted it. But Dad just won't buy one for me. So forget it. My cousin wanted to buy for me (which is so sweet of her), but I turned her offer down because I'll be wasting her $. I'll be guilty wan
leh.
Then she told me that her friend went to Shanghai just to get a Mango flava Pocky. I jealous
la. *
laughs*
So, after much walking around, we went out of that place. Waited at the traffic light for walkers to turn green.
And while waiting, I saw some Malay guys. There was one gayish Malay guy.
I'll give you a closer look. Look at his hair and his clothings. And especially,
the way he stands. So gayish
mannn...And the guy behind him. Looking so emo. Probabyly bitting his nails.
Singapore also has this kind of people. Probably they're jobless residents.
After crossing the road, we went to the Bugis Hawker centre. It's like Jonker Walk here. Only thing that it was super crowded with people.
After walking around, drinking sour plum drink (which was super sour but delicious
la), my aunts' leg
all tired already. So, we sat down for awhile. After that, we went to OG. Just in front of the Bugis Hawker centre.
OG is a shopping centre. We just enter there to go to the toilet. Almost every place, I tell you, they sure want to go to toilet.
After they have finished, we walked to the bus station to go back home to Malacca.
It was nearly 7pm. And I watched the sunset.
And there were so many people queuing up to get bus ticket I suppose.
Long queue. They're good. They didn't cut line.
On the way to the Singapore Custom, I saw the Ferris wheel.
It was HUGE.
And I saw the port of Singapore.
And that's all the pictures on Singapore.
After passing the port, I closed my eyes and slept. Came down for custom and the Johor customs also. After that, I slept like a pig.
I reached Malacca at about 11.00pm. Went for supper and then had my shower at about 12.30am. Slept about 1 something and Casey called me at 2am! I was so sleepy that I don't know what she was talking.
Casey, you can do that to me again. And this time, I'll probably just answer your phone but I'll let you do the talk while I sleep. *
